If you're thinking about bringing a car...Having a car at Acadia is definitely cool for going on roadtrips out of Wolfville, and driving to meal hall if you're lazy. But parking your car costs a fair bit of money, and since you can walk to most places in town or around campus in about five minutes, most people find a car isn't really necessary.
Stuff you can't bring/have in your room (because of fire hazzards, general safety, etc.):
- Candles
- Strings of lights
- Any animals (even hampsters, birds, fish, slugs...you get the point)
- Any kind of heat-producing cooking thing (ie. toaster, microwave, toaster oven); there's an oven and toaster in every lounge anyways. Hairdryers, irons, curling irons and all that stuff is ok
